The two finalist for the Cup Championship are both former midget/sprint/silver crown drivers. I counted the midget/sprint guys in this week's race and I came up with 9. The two listed above plus Kasey Kahne (winner of the race),Ryan Newman,Dave Blaney,J.J. Yeley, Cole Whitt ( finished 25th in his first cup race), Mike Bliss, and of course Jeff Gordon. Then if you add in the "open wheel drivers" Scott Speed, Juan Pablo Montoya,Paul Menard,A. J. Allmendinger,and Robby Gordon, I guess we can see where a lot of good racing drivers get their experience. Jim
