Check with Brian Watson or e-mail Don Edmunds himself. There was a memo from back in the day with Don's suggestions on spring rates for the coil cars. I can't locate my copy but if I recall correctly the rates were much lighter than we use today. I think they were in the 100# to 150# range. Today we run 350# up front & 185/200# in the rear on pavement. A real coil car is so lightly built you couldn't run the big spring rates.

Thanks, I've tried Don and Brian, but have yet to hear back, But I think your right, the car and driver is about 950lbs. the car had four different shocks and coils on it, so if I can't get Dons thoughts, I'll start light and work thru it. Thanks again. Michael
