Alex Pruett, 20, of Carefree, Ariz., who impressed USAC participants and officials with his infectious smile, cooperative attitude and courteous demeanor on his way to second place in the 2007 USAC Regional Midget Series standings, died in his sleep at his Arizona home Saturday night.


Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) driver Tracy Hines was injured in an accident on the evening of Monday, April 30 on his Indiana property.


The United States Auto Club named former MOPAR Motorsports head Kevin Miller as their new President. USAC also announced that Jason Smith has been appointed senior vice-president of racing operations


The 2007 Belleville Midget Nationals will charter new waters this year by riding the technology wave and having their great race streamed live, via Pay-Per-View over the Internet, for all around the world to view.


2006 USAC National Midget Car Series Champion Josh Wise will pilot the #71 Cruz Pedregon Racing Toyota-powered midget car in 23 races during the 2007 season. Wise will also drive in a variety of series for Michael Waltrip Racing in 2007.

Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) has named 19-year-old Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., as the interim driver of the No. 21 TSR Chevrolet/Maxim in the U.S. Auto Club (USAC) National Sprint and Midget Car Series.


The 2007 “Hut Hundred,” originally scheduled at the Terre Haute Action Track September 8, has been removed from the calendar.


The Copper on Dirt, scheduled to run at Manzanita Speedway on February 9-10, has attracted national attention with its unique format and is drawing entries from most of the top open-wheel dirt track drivers in the country.


Tony Stewart added another Golden Driller trophy to his collection as he raced to victory lane in Saturday night's 50-lap O'Reilly Chili Bowl Nationals championship feature event.

My biggest beef is not that is on Pavement, but all the support divisions. "Turkey Night' is first and foremost is a MIDGET race. The "Turkey Night Gran Prix" always draws enough midgets to run a true National Midget event.
You don't see other big events using support classes. Take for example , I dont think anyone would like to see a support division with the Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals , Even if it was midgets and you got to see more cars and more races. Just my opinion !
