So a car that is a second slower in lap times is not worth watching? It's a field filler? There is over a second gap from 1st place to 5th place. So that second slower 5th place car isn't worth watching? So you would rather watch 4 cars running high 14's and low 15's than see a whole field of competitive mid to upper 15 second cars? You dont want to see it evened out to promote growth? Are you reading what you are typing?

What are the reasonings behind why some feel a harder tire would benefit? I don't see where that would help midget racing all that much but really want to know what people think. I personally like the rev limiter. I was kinda on the fence for awhile but I think it could help some of the middle to lower road teams. Sure the money spending teams are gonna try different cams and such but the only reason things have gotten out of hand is because of the way they were. I would like to see the limits lower to really help save motor wear. Just some thoughts on what has been a pretty good discussion so far...

I've put this on here before. 8" wide right rear wheel rule. 10" max width tire at the sidewalls. ONLY 2 compounds. Soft or Hard. High horsepower cars will be forced to run a hard compound. If they run a soft tire being its skinnier they will just blister it and destroy it. That will take some of the horsepower advantage out of it. Kind of like the IRS. Now the cars down on horsepower can take advantage of the soft tire hooking them up and making them a little faster. So the fast cars slow down a little and slow cars are a little more competitive. A hard tire rules across the board would not help. It would affect all the cars evenly. It might save on the tire bill but thats about it.

Before anyone says it won't work. It will. Try it. Take the fastest car at Angell Park. Put IRS tires on that car and leave everyone else on the current Hoosiers. Whats going to happen? The fastest car wont be the fastest and his high HP engine did NOTHING for him.

Jason- I have sent Chris Wilke a email.
Best Regards,
John

Thanks John! That is one of several people everyone should be e-mailing or calling. Any problem can easily be corrected. It just has to be addressed to the people who can correct it. All of us on a message board may agree 100% but we can do nothing to fix it.

So has anyone contacted the appropriate people to express their concerns? Or are we just venting to a message board and not actually addressing the problems correctly?
