Some other Wisconsin oldies
Billy " the cat" Johnson
Etchie " the flying grandpa" Biertzer
Stan Fox and Tim Pangborn were the "have at it racers"
Butch "Tyco" Turnquist
Jerry "Springfield Rifle" Russell
Greg"Mighty Mouse" Nelson
Here are a few other nicknames I heard used to reference these drivers in the pits, though never by the announcers
Brian Steffan - "Dirtbag"

A few more, while I'm thinking about it.
"Flying" or "Fabulous" Ernie Brunk...in his Ford Falcon, that was a little tongue in cheek.
Chris "Crisco Kid" Maxson
This is making me feel a little old, if I'm not mistake, Danny Boorse was at one time called "the Kid"

Sumbitch
Dip $h*t
Dumb $h*t
Flake
Dirty Driver
Crazy
Idiot
Unconscious
Nuts
Knucklehead
I think just about anybody who has ever driven has had at least one of not all of these used as a "Nick Name" at ine time or another. I'm sure there are many more that are more descriptive.

Baue, I don't even race a car, and I get called all of those names (and they fit!). How about Jolly Wally Pankratz. Jim
Midget racing is big time entertainment.

Carmen "The Wildman" Manzardo...mostly known for his IRA Sprint Car racing.
And at the same time, we should recognize the man who coined most of the older generations of BMARA drivers nicknames...Harvey Konkel...also a former badger flagman before becoming an Angell Park Speedway announcer.

That would be Harvey "The Stoneman" Konkel, from back in his flagging days.
