This reminds me of what Rodger Ward did at Lime Rock in 1959.

Great Story..

Similar deal happened here in Ohio

1983 Earl Baltes puts on a 600 Silver dollor to win

anything with open wheels show...

Mike Fulper calls Earl...."can we bring our midgets" ??

haha... Earl says.... Ok...

I put in a 250 cubic inch Falcon

Denny Lott ran his BIG VW..

Jim sicilaiano had a 215 Aluminum buick..

Earl gets ######ed... cause the Sprinters figured one of us would win....

so he "waters" the track down real good.. didn't need it.. made us slippery....

and unsafe...

so we all three decided to run one lap .. and pull in and take our starting money...

Earl didn't want to  pay... so the three of us and his boys were gonna get on with it... and he said OK.... heres your starting money... hahaha

Later Earl apologized and let ME post my Midget shows at Eldora any time I wanted...

I am the ONLY person.. Earl ever let promote a show....AT ELDORA.. other then an Eldora show....

those were the days.....

BIG MOTOR MIDGETS.. cant be beat...

VAN MAY... ran 97 mile per hour AVERAGE...!!

at JENNERSTOWN inn a Midget powered with a DATSUN over head can 6 .. bored out...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at my Midget promotion there.. 1978 I think....

Big motor midgets... cant be beat....:)
