Rumor has it that the vw power plant will debut a new configuration that will maybe put them in contention to compete again. 30 hp is the number they are looking at. Putting them in the 340 to 350 range. Havent heard who will run it yet. Will it compete? Time will tell.

OMG !!! By Adding 30HP to the VW; I can now mount that motor on my John Deer and be Competitive in the 2004 lawn mower races down south.

Everyone hang on... I can feel the 2004 International Lawn Mower Champioship belt around my waist.

Deams do come true.

huh.gif You guys are really crude/bad. A guys trys to push a lengendary motor
in midget racing and all you can do is bad mouth him. Very smart.

But I learn a lot from these ludacrist comments. I was reading a motorcycle
magazine today. Always looking for motors to use in the TQ class.

Hondas, new CBR1000RR motor.

New Forged aluminum pistons, have been impregnated with molydeum.

The cylinder block is closed-deck design, and the center sleeves are high pressure
formed from sintered aluminum powder impregnated with ceramic and graphite. .

Connecting rods are now a nutless design, with the cap bolt threads tapped into the
rods themselves.

I like the idea of the butterfly baffle in th exhaust system, it moves and gives
more power at mid-throttle and reduces noise.

And they have more teeth on the timing wheel to give more accuracy on the timing.

So althought these motors have not hit the market yet, it's only a matter of time
and things that we thought were ludacrist will eventually become reality and common
place at an affordable price.

AR you make me want to cry!!!!! Im just trying to put out what I hear as rumors,. I wouldnt be caught dead driving a VW at any club let alone USAC. I dont know anyone that uses that motor that can drive worth a ###### anyway!!!! I just purchased a new mower (JD t18) spin-stear job. Its going to be a while before it will need a new motor, but when it does i will consider that.

YOU SAY BE SMART AND BUY A MOPAR! Call me stupid but I dont think buying a $35,000 motor and race for $1000 is smart. Or any motor thats over $20,000 is just plain CRAZY.

larryo, you spend way too much time on this , you need to hunt down a good porn site! ohmy.gif

Before everyone gets a good laugh, wait and see what develops. I ran Autocrafts until three years ago. We qualified at Phoenix, IRP and Anderson, all USAC events. Anderson we won four heats and finished in the top ten twice. Our single biggest problem was ignitions, both mags and electromotoves. We made 340 hp @ 8,600 rpms. The new parts and changes will allow those numbers to be consistent with decent reliability. With a 10" wheel, and 850 LBS weight rule they could well be in the hunt. Wait and see!

Who cares about being competitive with USAC? Bring Usac to a dirt show with Badger and Mara and see how competitive they are. USAC is afraid to competed with these clubs because their track record is not very good.

huh.gif Hey Skip,
Does Autocraft have a webpage and are they located in LA. I thought I saw a
sign that said Autocraft.
And dual Mags and Electromotives. Now that is a very interesting idea.

I don't know if USAC went to Badger or Mara if they would loose on Dirt.
But I'm sure the officials would be very ######ed off, when the boys went in their with
their 100,000 dollar trailers, 40,000 dollar Ed Pink engines and brought 2-3 cars to run
with the local series, no offense. But if USAC came to Badger or Mara, it would be a very
bad day.

Larry,

You can reach Autocraft at WWW.autocraftengines.com or call Mike Seymour @ 508-485-2247. The engine we ran is pictured on their web site.

You have no clue about USAC on dirt do you. they suck. Even the defunct NAMARs would beat up on them. Look at all of the shows where USAC and Badger have run, they usually run equal or badger has more in the top 10.

Rollie knows this, that is why they canceled the show at angell park.
