Brenden Bright Sweeps ARDC Weekend

YORK HAVEN, Pa. (June 12, 2016) – Brenden Bright of Collegville, PA won his fourth Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic ARDC presented by Autobahn Indoor Speedway of the season and swept the USAC Eastern Storm at Williams Grove and Susquehanna Speedway. Bright started 5th in his number 92 Presidential HVAC, WeeBee Audio Video, A main Motors, Bad Ass Racing Oil midget and made his way through the field to take the lead at the line on lap 9.

PJ Gargiulo and Brett Wanner led the field to the green with the 5 of Gargiulo taking the lead. One of ARDC’s hottest drivers this year Brett Arndt moved into second and began to pressure PJ. Arndt made his move coming out of turn four on lap six to take the lead at the line, but Gargiulo countered coming into turn one and two trying to power back by Arndt. It wasn’t meant to be for the ARDC veteran as he caught the inside berm coming out of turn four and spun ending his chances for victory.

The Essay Racing 46 of Arndt led the field to the green on the restart with Bright ready to make his move for the lead. The leaders would come to the line side by side to start lap nine with Bright taking the lead for good going into turn one and two. The Heffner Racing 27 once again being driven by Bryan Clausen moved into second on lap ten and set his sights on the leader Bright. Clausen’s pursuit would end on lap fifteen when he shredded a tire going into turn one bringing out the final caution flag of the race.

The final restart saw Bright set sail and leave the field behind. Trevor Kobylardz battled Arndt for second eventually taking the spot for his second second place of the weekend. Arndt would settle for third with Ryan Greth fourth and Alex Bright fifth.
